Special baggage
Carriage of sports equipment in the cargo hold
On all of our flights, we carry your sports equipment up to 30 kg per item in the hold at special flat rates. If the weight of the baggage item exceeds the allowed weight of the special baggage, an excess baggage fee of 10 € per kg and route is payable at the check-in counter. Please note that because of current EU regulations, each baggage item must not weigh more than 32 kg. You can find an overview of the special baggage types below.
You can easily book our sports equipment packages online via “My Bookings“.
Self-balancing roller boards and segways need to be transported as air freight. The transportation of these items as checked or hand baggage is not allowed.
By booking your sports or other special baggage in advance via “My bookings” or our Customer Service Center you can save up to 50% of the service fee!
For a smooth journey, we recommend that you inform us about your special baggage requests up to 48 hours prior to departure.

Carriage of musical instruments
Our standard hand baggage regulations apply to the carriage of small musical instruments in the cabin. If the musical instrument exceeds the permitted dimensions for cabin baggage, an additional seat should be booked through our Customer Service Center. Prices start from 39.99 € per seat each way and are subject to availability.
