Travel Advisory: Antalya Terminal 2 

With its renewed and modernized structure, Antalya Airport now spans a much larger area. For our guests traveling abroad from Antalya Terminal 2, we strongly recommend arriving at the airport at least 3 hours before their flight to ensure they reach the aircraft on time and without any issues, due to the increased walking distances within the terminal. 

After completing your check-in procedures, we kindly ask you to proceed without delay to passport control and then to your boarding gate.

Travel Update - 10.04.2025

Easter Travel Period

Due to the increased number of flights during the Easter holiday period, a higher number of passengers is expected at Berlin Brandenburg, Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, and Stuttgart airports on April 11,12,13. To avoid potential delays, we recommend that our guests arrive at the airport earlier than planned.

 

Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Due to the Antalya Diplomacy Forum taking place in Antalya between April 11–13, increased traffic and potential road closures are expected in the area. We kindly advise our guests to plan their journeys accordingly and allow extra travel time.

 

SunExpress Flights to Operate from Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport

Starting November 12, 2024, all SunExpress flights will be operated from Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport. 

We also would like to grab your attention to the following updates. Please visit the airport website for more details.  

  • Lounge Access: If you pre-booked T1 Escape or Aspire Lounge access, your reservation will be updated to the equivalent lounge in Terminal 2 automatically. 
  • Car Parking: For Manchester Airport’s Multi-Storey or Meet & Greet parking, please update your booking online at no additional cost by clicking here. Please note that, if you are returning to Terminal 2 after initially departing from Terminal 1, Multi-Storey users can reach T1 to collect their cars via a 10-15 minute covered walkway. Also, Meet & Greet users should inform reception at drop-off to have their cars delivered to Terminal 2 on return. Jet Parks or Drop & Go services will continue offering shuttle service to all terminals, so no action is required. For other providers, please check directly with them about the change. 
  • Fast Track & Special Assistance: Bookings for Terminal 1 Security FastTrack and special assistance will be accepted in Terminal 2 without any changes.

Terminal Changes at Antalya Airport (AYT) 

Due to ongoing construction, the below Terminal Changes will be implemented at Antalya Airport (AYT). Please plan your journey to the airport accordingly. 

International Flights 

Starting November 11th, 2024 all international flights to/from Antalya airport (AYT) will operate from Terminal 2 until further notice. 

International transfers will be handled via the Terminal 2 transfer desk. 

The international SunExpress ticket office will be located in Terminal 2. 

Domestic Flights 

Departures: Domestic flights will continue to depart from the current domestic Terminal.  

Arrivals: Domestic flights will arrive at the current domestic arrival hall until November 13th, 2024. Starting November 14th, 2024, domestic flights will arrive at the Terminal 1 international arrival hall. 

The domestic SunExpress ticket office will continue to be located at its current location in Terminal 1. 

 

Change of check-in counters at Frankfurt Airport

Due to the construction work at Frankfurt Airport, the location of our check-in counters will change temporarily. Starting April 10th, 2024, our new check-in counters are in Terminal 1, Hall C at counters 704 – 714.

Construction at Antalya (AYT) Airport

Due to construction carried out within the scope of the Antalya Airport Capacity Expansion Project, the entrance to the domestic terminal is closed at Antalya Airport (AYT) starting January 3rd, 2024. To reach the domestic terminal, please use the international departures (Terminal 1) entrance and walk to the domestic terminal inside the airport.

The construction project will continue until the end of May 2024. Passengers are asked to use public transportation to travel to/from Antalya Airport, due to the traffic congestion caused by the construction. Further information on Antalya public transportation can be found.

Get prepared for your upcoming flight!

Here are some tips and tricks that will help you to have a smooth and comfortable journey with us during the busy summer season:

  • Check the entry requirements: By using our interactive tool, easily find out the travel documents you need to provide, such as visa or passport, for your destination country.
  • Get real-time updates: Check out the airport website to be informed about the most recent announcements made by the departure airport
  • Check the status of your flight: Visit our Flight Status page regularly before heading to the airport. If we have you contact details, you will also receive an e-mail and SMS notification in the event of flight delays
  • Use our convenient and free Online Check-in wherever possible. Otherwise, please note that checking in at the airport for an international flight costs 5 € per passenger, one-way.
  • Arrive at the airport in a good time: Here you can find the updated airport check-in times. Please arrange your arrival at the departure airport according to these check-in times. Timely arrival is especially important for flights departing from the airports where night curfew is applied
  • Minimize the amount of your baggage: If possible, reduce the amount of your baggage you will take with you and ensure that it does not contain any prohibited items, medicine and valuable belongings such as money or jewelry. 
  • Have your travel documents ready at all times
  • Inform us about your special service requests in advance:Due to limited availability, kindly let us know your special assistance request until 48 hours before departure
  • After check-in, please go straight to passport and security control.Then, make your way directly to the departure gate.
  • Schedule your onward journey with enough connecting time: Your flight might be delayed or your baggage may take longer than usual to arrive at the baggage claim. Please spare enough time for your airport pick-up arrangements when booking your onward travel (e.g. train ticket)
