Additionally, we may outsource our tracking from user’s end-devices to our servers. Data will be collected without Cookies and processed by us and our servers (provided by a European server provider and data processing solely within the EU) and transferred to our Google in an anonymized form without identifiers or replacements of identifiers such as IDs or hashes.

Google Remarketing (belong to the category of Targeting Cookies)

We use Google’s interest-based advertising program, called Google Remarketing. Third-party vendors, including Google, display ads on online services across the Internet using Cookies stored on the basis of a user’s previous visits to these online services. The collected data (such as age group, presumed gender and interests based on the online services visited) are included in the evaluation reports with Google Analytics. You choose to disable Cookies used by Google for this purpose by changing your Cookie-Settings. More information about data protection can be found here.

Google Enhanced Conversion (belong to the category of Targeting Cookies)

In addition, we use Google Enhanced Conversion (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) on the basis of your consent for users who surf the Internet with a registered Google account. In online marketing, conversions are – in general – an interaction by the user (e.g., clicking on an advertisement and booking). For Google Enhanced Conversions, however, only the online booking – as a conversion – is relevant for us. For example, you can land at our online services via advertising and there go from being a user of our online services to booking a flight. Google Enhanced Conversion allows us to measure the success of our advertising measures in this context even more precisely. This generally works in such a way that a user clicks on one of our advertisements and is redirected from there to our online services. On our online services, if a booking is made, the email address is captured and securely forwarded to Google in hashed form to check via Google Enhanced Conversion. The fact that data has been hashed means that it is not possible to draw conclusions about the content and length of the data in particular (hash standard SHA256). If data is at Google, the hashed data sent by us is compared with the advertising event data collected and hashed by Google with the desired action; thus, the conversion is confirmed, i.e. assigned to our marketing action and the conversion confirmed (reported) to us. The purpose to process the data with Google Enhanced Conversions is solely efficiency control and continuous optimisation of our marketing measures. It allows us to understand how successful our marketing campaigns are, to design our online services as we understand how successful our design for bookings is and for personalised advertising in which we are able to retarget the user for advertisements from us over the Internet. When using Enhanced Conversion, Google is the sole recipient of the data. Your data will be stored by us for a period of 24 hours at the latest.
