About SunExpress

Founded as a joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines in 1989, we offer numerous direct connections between Europe and Türkiye. With 35 years of experience, we have been fostering connections between people, countries, and cultures.

Besides flying our guests to many idyllic holiday destinations in Türkiye, we reconnect them with their families and loved ones with our direct flights from Europe to many Anatolian cities. We offer direct flights from Türkiye to 68 destinations and 200 routes across 35 countries.

Our headquarters is located in the sunny Antalya, which is known as the touristic capital of Türkiye. Other hubs are in Izmir on Turkey’s Aegean coast and in Ankara, the national capital of Türkiye. Our second headquarters is located in Gateway Gardens in Frankfurt, Germany.

We have been named “Best Leisure Airline in Europe” in the latest global survey by Skytrax at the World Airline Awards, which is based on the votes of more than 20 million passengers across the world.

Our Fleet

SunExpress operates one of the most reliable and modern fleets in Europe, comprising solely Boeing 737 aircraft – one of the longest-serving and most successful aircraft families of all time.

Safety

To ensure flight safety and security at the highest level, our fleet is continually maintained according to the latest technical standards. We draw on the broad experience of our own engineering operations and those of Lufthansa Technic and Turkish Technic for regular maintenance of our fleet and are proud of our current SAFA-Ratio of 0.32.
