SUNEXPRESS EXPANDS IRISH ROUTE NETWORK FOR SUMMER 2025

December 17, 2024

17 December 2024: SunExpress, a joint venture of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, is expanding its Irish route network for summer 2025. The airline will offer a total of 14 weekly flights from Cork and Dublin, bringing expanded travel options to passengers eager to explore vibrant destinations across Türkiye.

SunExpress is launching services from Cork Airport for the first time in May 2025, with a twice weekly service to Izmir. This builds on existing services from Dublin Airport to Antalya and Izmir which will be running at five and seven weekly flights respectively in summer 2025. This compares to three and seven in summer 2024.

This wide range of services from SunExpress will offer passengers convenient access to popular destinations in Türkiye, making it easier than ever to explore the region. With multiple flights each week, passengers can plan their trips with greater flexibility and ease.

SunExpress has launched a new range of fare options for Summer 2025 to support the diverse needs of Irish passengers. They provide a blend of different options including baggage allowances, seat reservations, check-in options and booking flexibility.

The new fares have been carefully developed in bundle format to be tailored to customers’ differing needs, providing increased choice and the potential for greater savings.

In addition to ‘summer sun and beach’ travel, SunExpress is catering for a number of other types of travel for which Türkiye is popular including cultural, archaeological, and culinary tourism, and sports travel.

SunExpress is a value carrier with a strong presence on the Turkish Riviera and in Anatolia. In 2024 it operated in a total of 200 routes to 68 destinations across 35 countries. SunExpress is the leading carrier between Germany-Austria-Switzerland and the Turkish Riviera and Anatolia.
